Why white acrylic
Opaque, neutral and clean in almost any lighting, so it reads as a deliberately finished panel. Translucent grades glow evenly when backlit, which makes them good light diffusers.

Edge quality
Laser cutting melts the edge as it cuts, so acrylic comes off the machine flame-polished — clear and smooth, with no sawn face to sand or flame-treat afterwards. Holes and cut-outs are cut in the same pass as the outline, so nothing drifts out of register the way it can when features are drilled as a second operation.
