- Impact strength — many times that of acrylic; it deforms rather than shattering.
- Flexibility — cold-bends to a radius where acrylic would crack.
- Scratch resistance — worse than acrylic; it marks more easily in handling.
- Edge finish — good, though acrylic gives the cleaner optical edge.
- Temperature — tolerates more heat before softening.
